Absegami FBLA Raises Over $800 for HERO Campaign, Named “Outstanding HERO Walk Team”
Absegami High School’s Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) raised $820 for the
John R. Elliott HERO Campaign and participated in the 11th Annual HERO Walk in Ocean City on
October 16th. They were presented with an “Outstanding HERO Walk Team” award before taking to
the Boardwalk, and carried a large banner with student and faculty signatures pledging not to drink
and drive. Absegami’s FBLA members have been participating in the Walk since 2014 to raise money
and awareness to promote the use of designated drivers, and had its greatest number of participants
supporting the cause this year.
