Ms. Kelly Wischner

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!

I obtained my bachelor's degree in marine biology and environmental science from Fairleigh Dickinson University. While in college, I spent part of a summer studying (and snorkeling) in Hawaii. I also studied abroad for a semester in England. In addition to traveling all over England, I was able to visit Ireland, Scotland, France and Italy.

After graduating from FDU, I worked for two years in an environmental laboratory conducting water quality tests. I realized the routine of lab work was not for me and decided to pursue a career in teaching instead. I have been at Absegami ever since. About 10 years ago, I obtained my master's degree from Western Governor's University in Science Education (Physics). This summer I began working toward my second master's degree from WGU in Earth Science Education.

I have taught the freshman physics course for most of my career. I also helped to create the Oceanography course which I am excited has been running for about 10 years. In addition to teaching physics and oceanography, I teach biology.

I am co-advisor for the Science Club. If you are interested in fun demos and experiments, come to a meeting. We also run the Science National Honor Society (SNHS) through the Science Club. SNHS is open to juniors and seniors who have taken honors or Advanced Placement (AP) level science classes.

Thanks for visiting my site and I hope we have a successful year together.
