- Support for Children, Youth and Families: childcare, after school programs, NJ Family Care (health insurance programs), family resource centers, summer camps and recreation programs, mentoring, tutoring, protective services.

The Juvenile/Family Crisis Center is a 24 hour, legally mandated service. The program is designed to assist families who are experiencing serious difficulties in managing the behavior of children aged 10-17, and in situations where the behavior of the child(ren) or parent results in a serious threat to the well-being and safety of the youth. The program aims to intercede in family conflicts and, where possible, diverts such cases from formal court pending exhaustion of community resources.
A primary objective of the Crisis Center is to promote and strengthen the integrity of the family unit. Services include crisis stabilization, family assessments, short-term family counseling, case management, treatment planning, referral and follow-up.

Provides outpatient substance abuse services for youth aged 12-18 and their families residing in Atlantic County. Services include assessment, treatment planning, referral, psycho educational group process, and reintegration of youth to their homes and families upon return from residential treatment centers. Referrals are accepted from multiple community based agencies, schools, Family Court, parents, DYFS, and other treatment agencies.

Crisis Pregnancy Services of Atlantic County (CPS) offers free and confidential pregnancy testing and peer counseling to teens, women and families going through a crisis pregnancy or post abortion trauma. Pregnant women can also be helped with maternity clothing, furniture, infant clothes and material needs after the baby is born.

Children’s Mobile Response Service System provides mobile response service to children in Atlantic and Cape May Counties who are experiencing an emotional or behavioral situation that threatens to disrupt their living arrangement. Trained response intervention workers are available 7 days a week to deal with crises at the child’s location for up to 72 hours. They can offer up to eight hours of follow-up service to stabilize the situation based on the needs of the child and caregiver.

Teen Parent Partnership: The Atlantic County Teen Parent Partnership Program, in Partnership with the Atlantic County Division of Public Health, is an early intervention program for teen parents and their infant children through age three. Its goals are to reduce child abuse and neglect while insuring healthy development for both baby and parent. The Teen Parent Partnership social workers are housed at the Egg Harbor Township Family Center and the Pleasantville Family Center.

The Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS) is New Jersey's child protection and child welfare agency within the Department of Children and Families. Its mission is to ensure the safety, permanency and well-being of children and to support families.
In New Jersey, any person having reasonable cause to believe that a child has been subjected to abuse or acts of abuse should immediately report this information to the State Central Registry (SCR). If the child is in immediate danger, call 911 as well as 1-877 NJ ABUSE. A concerned caller does not need proof to report an allegation of child abuse and can make the report anonymously.
