The Gami Gourmet initiated a luncheon program in the Spring of 2002. The purpose of the program is to give the students "hands on" experience in all aspects of the hospitality industry. The special recognition luncheons honor various members of our school community.
Three programs collaborate to make this project a success. The Foods II classes order, prepare, and cook. The Consumer Math and School to Work classes prepare the room and serve the food. Menu items include Chicken Cordon Bleu, Shrimp and Pasta, Prime Rib, Chicken Parmigiana, speciality soups and salads and an assortment of gourmet desserts.
Our 2002 program began in November with a luncheon honoring the Class Presidents, Student Council, Honor Society Officers, as well as the Trump Resort executives responsible for providing the necassary materials needed for the program.
Our next luncheon will honor our Board of Education Members, our Department Supervisors, our Principal Mr. Carr, and Vice Principal Mr. Dalton. Later this year, we will honor our support staff and the top 10 students od the graduating class. Our immediate plans are to expand the program in the future. Stay tuned for further details.
